So – how do you make a Seat to fit your Cafe Racer project?
Well, what I did was get hold of an old original seat, that way you get the Base and fittings, you’ve probably already got one on the Bike.
I then took an ordinary Saw that cuts trees, and shaped the Foam. I trial fitted it to the Bike and then sent the whole thing away to a professional upholsters to get it made into the Colour and style I wanted.
It cost a couple of £100 pounds but I think it sets the Bike off well, is a single seater and very comfortable.
I didn’t want the long thin look that a lot of Cafe racers have, more chunky and in keeping with the size of the Bike.
