One of the more unusual bikes to pass through The Retirement Garage has now moved on to its next chapter.
This was the motorcycle that featured in Netflix’s The Crown before finding its way into my workshop. After spending some time with me, I carried out a light recommissioning and tidy-up—sorting the important mechanical details, improving its presentation, and making sure it was ready for the road once again.
Rather than keeping it, I’ve now sold the bike to a specialist Film and TV car and motorcycle company, which means there’s every chance it could appear on screen again in the future. It’s always nice when a machine with a bit of history gets the opportunity to continue its story rather than disappear into storage.
For me, that’s one of the best parts of the garage: finding interesting bikes, breathing a little life back into them, and then passing them on to their next custodian.
So if you spot a familiar motorcycle in a future TV drama or film, keep an eye out—you might just recognise this former Crown star.
